Kenya Camp 2025
In December, our program partner, Jose Memorial Hemophilia Society – Kenya hosted their annual camp, made possible by Save One Life’s bleeding disorder camp fund. Jose Memorial Hemophilia Society – Kenya, shared their experience with us:
“Jasiri Camp was truly exceptional this time around. For the first time ever, we welcomed three girls with Von Willebrand Disease alongside our boys, a meaningful milestone that felt like a real breakthrough for us. We went all in with a full camp experience: sleeping in tents, cooking over open fires, and pushing ourselves in ways we hadn’t before.
One of [our] favorite moments was the cooking competition. We split everyone into two groups and honestly didn’t know what to expect. But these kids surprised us. The teamwork we witnessed was remarkable both teams came together to make ugali, helping each other and laughing through the chaos. [One camper] earned the title of most skillful camper after leading his team to victory with a stew that was genuinely delicious. That boy has skills.
Then came the adventure activities the wild swing, wild slide, and canopy walk. Some of these looked intimidating. But our campers showed up. They pushed through their fears and proved to themselves that hemophilia doesn’t get to decide what they can or cannot do. Of course, none of this would have been possible without proper factor coverage; we made sure everyone received their treatment before and after each activity so they could enjoy every moment safely.
But the part that really got [us] was the phone calls afterward. Parents [called us to say] they could already see positive changes in their sons and daughters—more confidence, more openness, more happiness. That feedback was deeply encouraging and confirmed what we hoped: we did something right, and the camp made a real difference in their lives.”

India 2024
Greetings from Hemophilia Society – Madras Chapter!!!We would like to update you that our youth camp “Rejuvenate” was successfully accomplished as planned, between 26th – 28th of January 2024.
This would not have been possible without the whole hearted support provided to us by Save One Life.
We wish to express our heartfelt “Thanks to Save One Life” at this juncture.
The participants thoroughly enjoyed the time there and all the fun and education that was part of the camp.
Please find attached some photos. These are only samples; we will share some more photos and a video collage in the coming days.
Thanks again for bringing a smile on the faces of our PWH !As said in our earlier email, we are sending you herewith a collage that showcases key highlights from our Youth Camp.
Right from the moment the participants landed energetically at the venue, it journeys you through all the action, including:
– The joyful and educational hydrotherapy session.
– Exhibition of talent and group activities by all the participants.
– A much-needed psycho-social session that taught about the need for grit and self-confidence.
– Opportunities and benefits available from the Government for PWH.
– A session about Hemophilia and carrier detection by one of the participants.
– A speech about how Save One Life is changing the life of PWHs.
– Informative sessions about the key activities handled by Hemophilia Society Madras Chapter and how the youth can contribute to the chapter activities.
– Memento distribution to participants, talent hunt winners, presenters and organizers.
– Feedback about the camp by the participants themselves.
The camp also had all the participants enjoying an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), where they learnt a lot about nuclear power and its beneficial uses.
Hope this brings a smile on your face, similar to the smile that your esteemed organization has brought on many hemophiliacs.

Our camp turned out to be an incredible success, providing the children with a dynamic and engaging experience. I’ve taken the liberty to attach photos of the Save One Life participants who enthusiastically joined us for the camp. Their joy and growth during these days were truly heartwarming.
